This evening Jasmine found out she was selected as one of the 1,000 US Athletes attending the Vienna games (VERY excited)! She is looking forward to meeting other members of the Northwest delegation, preparing for the July games, and meeting other athletes from around the world.
After her initial nomination Jasmine had to request letters of recommendation from her coaches (other than me) and teachers who rated her soccer skill, leadership abilities, sportsmanship, etc. Her evaluation continued in an interview with the program coaches on a snowy day at a local Starbucks. The whole process was a little intimidating for an eleven year old!
